It is very hard for me to put into words how hard it was to hear about the passing of my good friend Traci Michaelz of the band Peppermint Creeps. He had a very special place in my heart, as well as many of the lives he touched in his life. When I think of Traci, I can’t help but smile. I had the best times with him, the craziest times, and the most amazing conversations I have had with anyone in Hollywood. You make a lot of friends in this city, the city of lights and entertainment. Everyone comes here to turn their dreams into a reality, and Traci was one of the few who excelled at it, above and beyond anything else, he finally was doing what he loved the most – his music.

LOS ANGELES, CA – So I pull up a seat with my wife and get ready to see one hour of American Idol: The Finals. I don’t expect much and that’s pretty much what I get. It started with David Cook singing a Police cover. Anybody watching the performance could see that this kid could not even sell himself that song, let alone the whole country. His voice was not so bad but I would have much rather been making myself a corn dog; and the show had only just begun.

LOS ANGELES, CA -- 50th Annual Grammy Awards are on.....feel free to discuss! I will be updating this post with my quirky commentary throughout the telecast. The telecast opens with Alicia Keyes singing a duet with Frank Sinatra, singing along with her as he appears from a television set. “From the moment you first fall in love with making music you dream of being a part of this show,” said Keyes as she opened the show.

WEST PALM BEACH, FL -- My feet are covered in blisters but question is: Was it worth it? Thing is…if I had to do it again I would – I would just wear better shoes. It took 3 and a half hours until Vince Neil took the stage (he was 2hrs late), one additional hour for the concert, and then a whole lot of waiting in line to get into the club that had people literally crammed in there like a pack of sardines.

If you are anxiously counting down the months until another round of American Idol returns to the small screen, wait no more. The producers of Idol have created The Next Great American Band, a show that might just hold you over well into next year. Or it might just turn into your new guilty pleasure.

HOLLYWOOD, CA -- GOD WHAT AN HONOR TO BE A PART OF THIS EVENT! I feel like I was a part of a day in history!! Definitely a highlight for me to be able to be a part of it all! My best friend and I got there very early this morning and stood right in front of the barricade, which was cool. Started talking to some of the fans in there and even ran into a couple friends who said to me "I knew you'd be here." The band showed up about an hour before the event and the people from Third Street management and bodyguards were lingering around the star.

CULVER CITY, CA -- My neighbor and I went to the Sony Studios at around 3pm and there was already a line of seat fillers to get in. The weather didn't help much because although the sun was out, it was very windy and everyone was shivering. Of course, our line was in the shade which just made it feel like it was even colder out. We are in line and moved around closer and closer to the studio door, but we had to wait until close to 6pm to finally make it inside. I tell you waiting around sucks, and all I could think of was I hope this thing is worth it because my feet and my back were hurting badly, not to mention the cold wasn't helping.

The story of Madonna's music career is really the tale of a savvy artist who invented a singular space for herself--a space that ultimately allowed for wholesale creative freedom. With her music comes Madonna's ability to reinvent her image, constantly testing the public's perception of the lyrical diva.

"If you want to meet girls, learn how to play the guitar" -- Ted Nugent The rock group Everclear's song "Rock Star," - also the theme song for the upcoming film of the same name - perfectly describes what every wannabe rock star dreams of. "I want to be on TV shows, and wear designer clothes. I want a girlfriend who does not drink beer, and sleep with certain movie stars."

BOCA RATON, FL -- They say everything is bigger in Texas, and the Dallas-based band Flickerstick is well on their way to proving them right. Now that the band has been declared the winner of VH1's Bands on the Run, they plan to be bigger than ever. Sunday's season finale is the culmination of a series of episodes taped in November and December of last year that featured unsigned bands that dreamed of making it big. Flickerstick was one of them. Sure they drank, fought, and slept with women. But at the end of the series, the band's charisma and love of rock and roll kept them on the show.
