In order to celebrate the one-year Anniversary of Vince Neil’s bar & grill Dr. Feelgoods, the notorious Motley Crue frontman, along with his star-studded solo band, performed a free concert for his fans. This was the third time they’ve done this during the past year, but it doesn’t get old. The weather was perfect, the fans were excited, and the stage was set. Time to rock out!

f you’ve ever been to a concert, you probably know that most bands use an AC/DC song as their lead-in music over the loud speakers. What better way to get the crowds’ adrenaline pumping? Metallica does it. Motley Crue does it. Even 311 does it. Since we were at an AC/DC concert, my friend asked me what song I thought they would use. I was puzzled, and then I finally concluded there would be no lead-in music, for AC/DC cannot be topped. And I was right!

GLASGOW, UK -- In the UK's current musical climate of watered down indie pop getting most press attention, even in alternative circles, it's refreshing to see a raw, aggressive act like A Place To Bury Strangers tour this side of the pond. Being a fan of screeching, distorted rock guitar sounds, the fact that this trio were recently announced as being the 'loudest' band in NYC got my attention instantly and I had to go to this gig. I was told to take earplugs because I would need them. Curious...

SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- Every person has fantasies. “If a genie granted you 3 wishes, what would you wish for?” Here’s my top 3: Win the lottery, world peace, and have my own personal full-scale Metallica concert. Impossible, right? Well, I came as close as it could possibly get! A select few of us MetClubbers won the privilege of attending the private rehearsal for the upcoming World Magnetic tour at the Cow Palace in San Francisco, the band’s hometown.

Holmdel, NJ -- Upon arrival at the venue, In lieu of seeing Trapt, the first band, we purchased tee-shirts and got decent lawn seats during the set-up for Sixx AM. We wound up chillin' on the right side, on the level of the 300 seats, which isn't too bad of a view.

SAN BERNADINO, CA -- After hearing reviews and colossal stories from friends about this year’s CRUEFEST, I couldn’t help my excitement to see Motley Crue perform again. After all, it has been at least a couple years since I have seen these guys rocking’ together on the same stage.

"See all those people in the audience? They have to pay $8 for a beer. Yours is over there in the fridge." That message from Deep Rock Drive, who telecasted the live show through their site, pretty much summed up how convenient it was for fans - who were not present - to experience this show at the comfort of their own home.

TUSLA, OK - I arrived in Tulsa, only to meet rain. A little frustrating, since I was going to be camping for the next 5 nights. I was taking a shuttle to the concert site, but we had to wait for a couple to arrive 2 hours later. A little more frustration, but I wasn’t going to let that ruin everything. After arriving at the campsite, the clouds cleared. Luckily, I set up my tent and took a look around the concert area. I was looking forward to my next venture.
