Metallica to release album after 5 year hiatus

LOS ANGELES, CA — It’s about time! And I know I am not alone when I say this.

Northern California rockers, Metallica, are set to release their new album, Death Magnetic on September 12th. The record was produced by Rick Rubin.

The disc will also feature a song titled The Unforgiven III, which is a “sequel” of sorts to 1991’s The Unforgiven and 1997’s The Unforgiven II. The first single from Death Magnetic will be The Day That Never Comes, which will have its video debut soon.

For now, all that Metallica fans get are wallpapers and buddy icons for their computer counting down to the album’s release. It would have been nice to at least get a snippet of the new single.

As for Metallica, they’re currently performing at a few festivals, including “Ozzfest” on August 9th in Texas.
