Osbourne family to return to reality tv

FOX network has given the family a six-episode variety show treatment, Variety reports. The show will be a mixture of comedy sketches, game show and audience participation series. The family will most likely all participate on the show, which will have elements of competition, stunts and performances.

After entertaining American audiences with their 3 seasons on MTV, “The Osbournes” became MTV’s top-rated reality series ever. Heavy-metal pioneer Ozzy Osbourne, his devoted life and manager Sharon, and two children Jack and Kelly (daughter Aimee did not want to participate) they became television’s craziest rocker family, which chronicled their lives inside their Beverly Hills mansion, and crazy antics in the United States and abroad.

Not only did we know them by first name, but they became a staple of the ultimate rock and roll family. As Ozzy best put it on the show: “I love you more than life itself, but you’re all f—– mad!”

As much as reality has boomed in the recent years, there seems to be a new style of celebrity-packed shows now, such as NBC’s “Family Celebrity Feud” or “Celebrity Circus.” However, this show seems to be strategically as a more family oriented show.

Since The Osbournes aired, Sharon has remained in television, serving as a judge on NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” and UK’s “The X Factor” meanwhile Jack is in his second season of UK’s “Jack Osbourne: Adrenaline Junkie.”

The show is also rumored to have a Christmas special as well. Stay tuned!
