Bon Jovi to play free show in Central Park

Grammy-winning rock band Bon Jovi is scheduled to play a free show on the Great Lawn in New York’s Central Park on Saturday, July 12th at 8 p.m. This show will be in celebration of Major League Baseball All-Star Summer in New York City.

The concert will take place three days before Major League Baseball’s All-Star Game during the last year of Yankee Stadium.

Tickets to the show are free and can be obtained on a first-come, first-served basis beginning at 9 a.m. at several ballparks throughout all five New York City boroughs: Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, Shea Stadium in Queens, KeySpan Park in Brooklyn to name a few. There is a limit of two tickets per person.

Fans will also be able to register for a chance to win free tickets through mlb.com

According to Bon Jovi’s official site, tickets will also be distributed in Manhattan at locations, dates and times to be announced.  Attendants have been asked to use public transportation as parking will not be provided. Use of alcohol, chairs, tents, sleeping bags, overnight camping and amplified music will be prohibited on ticket lines:.
