It’s no surprise that at the height of his success, American Idol winner David Cook is set to team up with some of the best song writers in the country, as he prepares to start the recording process of his post-Idol win solo debut.
Matt Collins, a radio DJ from Green Bay, WI writes on his blog “Goo Goo Dolls frontman Johnny Rzeznik told us that he’s really hoping to collaborate with David on some songs.” So why does the guy who wrote “Iris” want to write songs with the winner of a TV reality show? Johnny said, “‘Cause he’s real, he plays the guitar, he’s got a cool voice, he seems like a regular guy, so…why not?”
On a recent video broadcasted for the Goo Goo Dolls fan club Inner Machine, Rzeznik said he was very interested in working with an artist that was “very popular” at the moment.
Rzeznik, who was inducted in the songwriter’s hall of fame on June 19th, has produced music for artists such as Andy Stochansky and Ryan Cabrera.
