LOS ANGELES, CA — Motley Crue platinum ticket – $400, tour merchandise – $100, alcohol – $40, a chance to meet the band before the show – priceless!
We arrived at The Forum at 4pm for the meet and greet. We got our passes and got taken into a tour of the forum while we heard soundcheck, saw the stage, and were taken into a room where the band was going to come meet us.
Motley came in and stuck around for about half hour just talking to everyone, taking pictures, cracking jokes, etc. This one woman was histerical, telling Nikki how she bought them pizza when they first started and lived in West Hollywood and how all her friends were sluts and how the guys would take them home and spend the night with them. They all started laughing histerically. Another fan brought in a flyer when they played the Starwood and Tommy flipped, specially when the guy lifted his shirt and had a HUGE Motley tattoo on his back. Tommy went “Dude Sixx!!! Nikki look! Vince!!” and pointed at the guy’s back. All of them were pretty impressed.
One by one, we each got our stuff signed and got our picture taken with us. We hung out for a little while longer and then we had to get out because the guys got a PLATINUM RECOLD for their Red, White, and Crue album so that was very cool.
Afterwards, we went to the merch booth and then met a couple friends outside and went back into the venue. I had a pretty cool seat, right in front of Vince and sang my little heart out for 2 1/2hrs. What an experience! Nikki would come over and smile and spit water on me, crooking his finger at us, and singing the words along as he looked on doing an evil grin. Vince would look at us singing and he put the microphone in front of us during “Don’t Go Away Mad” and let us sing along with him which blew my mind away. Tommy came over during the titty camera and sprayed champagne all over me.
During “Helter Skelter” Gunner Sixx came onstage and played guitar. Nikki was sooo proud of him, it was so cute. Gunner was so nervous, but Nikki would tell him to walk around with him onstage and even leaned his head on Gunner’s shoulder and smiled at one point. When the song ended, Tommy got out of his drumkit as Gunner was walking out of the stage and goes “Dude! (he gave Gunner high five) that was so badass!!!” and then ran back to the drums. They were all so proud of him and Nikki just kept smiling. Vince laughed and goes “Rockstar in training”
At the very end of the show when the band came to the front of the stage to bow and say thanks, Tommy walked in front of me, sat on the edge of the stage, took a sip from his Jager and gave me the rest of the bottle. I smiled, took it, and chugged the little that was left. He smiled and stood up and they all walked out the stage. I got Nikki’s set list as well.
We hung out at the Forum for a little while and went to the after party. We saw BAM from Jackass there again.
I am running on 4hrs of sleep but GOD DAMN IT it was worth every minute.
